Gently used cribs for mothers in need are always in demand. Giving a crib to a mother in need is one of the most generous gifts we can give in support of a family.

They’re also one of the hardest items for us to get as a donation. Many times, the cribs we receive are outdated and unsafe, and do not comply with today’s government standards. As such, we cannot give them away.  As a result, we buy cribs from local stores, and depend on financial donations to keep our commitment to providing for those in need.

Where do we get our crib requests?
Currently, In The Image gets referrals for cribs from the following agencies:

  • Pregnancy Resource Center
  • Interfaith Hospitality Network
  • Southeast Community Ministry at
  • Olivet Church
  • Salvation Army
  • Arbor Circle
  • Bethany Christian Services
  • Kent County Health Department
  • M.O.M.S. Program at Spectrum Health
  • Hispanic Center
  • St. Mary’s Hospital
  • Santa Maria Clinic
  • Touchstone Inovare

When you donate the cost of one crib to In The Image, you will directly help a mother in need.

Cost for One Crib $150
Two Cribs $300

In May, 2003, we hosted our first Crib Full of Blues, a special event designed to build awareness and raise funds for our crib program. A blues-themed event provided the backdrop for music lovers to support this important local cause. As a result, we are able to continue to help women and families who need our support.

During the first six months of 2003, over 250 cribs have been delivered through In The Image.

Thank you to our sponsors, Meijer and WGVU, and to the many people who attended and supported our first Crib Full of Blues.

Look for Crib Full of Blues again in May, 2004!
